Sponsorship Announcement - Aaron Kolk, pro triathlete

Aaron Kolk

Swivel Bottle is super excited to announce the sponsorship of pro triathlete, dad, coach, and overall great guy @aaronkolk!

Aaron Kolk is a father of 2 amazing kiddos (Eden 8 & Ike 5), coach with @iamwithoutlimits, and professional triathlete. A Wilmington, NC native Aaron grew up playing any and every sport until high school when he started running XC. He quickly develop a passion for the sport and moved on to run at UNC-Wilmington posting times of 14:58 and 31:18 on the track in the 5k & 10k. After a brief break from the sport he moved to Asheville and started working at a run specialty store and his love was reborn running in the trails. After 2 years in the mountains Aaron moved back to Wilmington taking a job coaching at Coastal Christian HS where he coached multiple state championship teams and runner ups in both XC and Track and Field. In 2015 after years of achilles trouble a surgery was finally needed and thus birthed his love for the bike. In 2017 he signed up for 70.3 Raleigh 2 weeks before the race and had a miserable time (hahaha), but it gave the competitive outlet he was craving. After a mini season he finished 70.3 NC in 4:19 and tried a marathon cycle over the winter, only to get injured again. Another year of triathlon and attempted marathon cycle and by 2019 Aaron decided to move his goal to earning a pro card. By 70.3 Augusta in September he won the amateur race and qualified to race professional in 2020. Then COVID. He started racing professional in 2021 and currently has personal best at 3:59 and 8:42 in the 70.3 and 140.6 distances. In 2024 he is determined to start placing top 10 in IM branded events and then in the money (normally top 8).

Swivel Bottle is super excited to partner with Aaron and support his training needs and racing goals!

We are super excited to support Aaron's racing and training needs with Swivel Bottle, and look forward to documenting his journey as he sets out to do BIG things in the world of triathlon!
